Places To Visit in the Local Area

Haworth:- A 20 minute drive, or take a step back in time on the steam heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway www.kwvr.co.uk to Haworth Village, only 7 miles away.  Visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum, or browse the shops and cafes and take a walk in the park.

East Riddlesden Hall:- Just 2 miles down the road, East Riddlesden Hall is a National Trust owned historic house, with garden, shop and tea-room.

Saltaire:- a model village which in 2001 was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spectacular architecture and independent shops and restaurants scattered around the village. There is world class art on display at Salts Mill with one of the largest collections of David Hockney’s, and all surrounded by countryside and moors.                              Ilkley:- 4.5 miles across the moors is the picturesque town of Ilkley is situated in the Wharfe Valley. The former spa town is the ideal place to relax and treat yourself. There are excellent restaurants and independent shops selling everything from gifts to vintage clothes and books. Enjoy afternoon tea at the famous Bettys Cafe and Tea Rooms or enjoy one of the many events which take place throughout the year.
